What we collect

When you send a quote request, we receive the details you choose to include:

• contact information (name, email, phone, company or vessel), preferred reply method, and your optional text message consent choice;
• order details (quantity, fishery, timing, pickup or delivery, and location);
• build specifications and notes; and
• optional reference photos and photo reference IDs.

Your browser draft

Build choices are saved in this browser tab during your visit. Contact details and uploaded photos are not included in that saved draft.

The quote form sends your details to the shop when you submit it. If automatic delivery fails, you can use the prepared email, copy, or download options.

Why we collect it

We use this information only to review your request and respond with pricing, availability, and build follow-up details.

Who receives it

Your quote request is sent to Commercial Crab Pots at info@commercialcrabpots.com so the shop can respond.

We do not sell your personal information. Mobile information and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process this information only to help us deliver and manage your request and messages.

Reply preferences and text messages

You can request a phone call, text, or email reply. Text consent is a separate, optional checkbox that starts unchecked. Providing a number alone does not authorize texts. Consent applies to your inquiry or quote follow-up, not marketing, and is not a condition of purchase.

Your preference and consent choice, along with the wording version, time, and form source, are included in the request delivered to the shop. Quick questions reach the shop by text; quote records may be handled by our intake, email, and document service providers. Prepared email drafts reach us only when you send them.

How long we keep it

We keep quote-request records as needed to respond to your request and for ordinary business records.

Ask CCP chat

Messages you type in Ask CCP are sent to this website so it can reply. The reply is generated with OpenAI. We do not keep a customer database of chat transcripts. The server may use your IP address briefly, in memory, to limit abusive traffic. That limit is not a customer profile.

“Text the shop” inside the chat uses the quick-question path below. It does not send a text on its own.

Quick questions and résumés

The contact-page question form, and the same form inside chat, can send your name, phone or email, question, and reply preference to the shop by text through our messaging provider when that service is configured. Text consent is separate and optional.

The work-with-us form prepares an email in your browser. We receive your name, email, phone, and note only if you send that email.

Cookies and on-site storage

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits, which pages are viewed and where visitors come from. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It sets Google cookies and sends Google technical details such as the page address, browser and approximate location; you can block it with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out add-on. Build choices may be saved in this browser tab so you can continue a specification. That draft does not include your name, email, phone, or photos. We do not set our own advertising cookies.

Facebook, sharing, and the Meta Pixel

We keep a Facebook Page at facebook.com/commercialcrabpots. Visits to that Page are handled by Meta under Meta’s own terms. This website only links to the Page.

Each public page includes a title, description, canonical address, and a shop photograph so a shared link can display clearly on Facebook and similar services. Sharing a link does not send your quote or chat details to Meta.

The Meta Pixel loads only when the shop has turned it on. When it is on, the site loads Meta’s script and records a page view, a quote request after one is sent, and a tap on our phone, email or text link. Our server also sends Meta the quote-request and contact events, with your IP address, browser type and Meta’s own cookie ID, so they are counted when a browser blocks the pixel. These events do not include your name, email, phone number or quote details. Meta may set cookies or similar identifiers and receive technical details such as the page address and browser information. We use that to understand visits, including visits that come from our Facebook Page. We do not sell that information. When the pixel is off, that script is not loaded. You can control cookies in your browser and adjust ad settings in your Facebook account.

California

Commercial Crab Pots is a small manufacturer in Rio Dell, California. If you live in California, contact the shop to ask what personal information we hold from a form, chat, or email you sent us, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We may keep information we still need to respond to you or for ordinary business records. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context advertising except through the optional Meta Pixel described above, and only when that pixel is turned on.
